It’s very disappointing when the best-laid plans, such as trying to eat something super-healthy, blows up in one’s pretty face.
Case in point: Up until today, I haven’t had a bad food experience at the Juice Press plant. Avocado toast, with 11 grams of protein? It must be awesome!
The ingredients are: whole wheat bread, cucumber, avocado, tomato, vegan chipotle mayo, mixed mesclun greens, onion, secret sauce, and nori.
Separately, these food items are commonly delicious. However, the whole sandwich was gross. I couldn’t stomach one bite. Very disappointing!
Their Ginger Tumeric raw juice blend was better: Raw honey, lemon, ginger, turmeric, sea salt, spearmint, cardamom and cayenne.
Paired with a gingerbread doughnut from the Doughnut Plant, it helped lunch remain semi-healthy.
(God, who are you kidding? All the raw juice in the world can’t change a doughnut (which was AMAZING, by the way) into a salad…)
Okay, I get it. Eating healthy can be a crapshoot sometimes, especially when the main foodstuff, is stuffed with “good” things that taste like crap.
Oh well, a big swing-and-a-miss. Better luck next time! And, I hope everyone has a lovely weekend.
